Organizing your home can be a challenge! There are so many different areas that require a little organization and using baskets to organize is a game changer. In this post, I’m going to share my favorite ways to organize with baskets for a cute look that fits right into your home decor.
Baskets are a practical way to store the odds and ends in each room that you don’t want laying out all over the place! It helps to de-clutter the area when you’re not using certain things. Like throw blankets in your living room or mail on your kitchen counter. Baskets come in so many different shapes, sizes, and styles which makes it super easy to incorporate into any room.
Now, let’s go through a few different ways to organize around your home using baskets!
Entryway Organization With Baskets
If you’ve got an open entryway table, you may have some space underneath for either decor or some large baskets. The baskets can be used to store blankets or items that need to be close to your front door – especially if you have little ones running around!

If your entryway is right next to your living room, this is a perfect spot to store blankets or small throw pillow while they’re not in use.

Organize With Baskets On Laundry Room Shelves
Ahhh the laundry room! We’re not all as lucky as Our Winton Home to have this beautifullll laundry room space with built in storage – but I love her ideas for using the baskets with little chalk board labels.
Her farmhouse laundry room is GOALS for sure.

Living Room Storage and Organization
The perfect spot for some baskets in your living room is under the coffee table. I love this farmhouse coffee table in white and light natural wood. There’s enough room to get a vaccuum under it but still provides a space for storage options.
Instead of having odds and ends just laying on the bottom shelf, use cute wicker baskets to store stuff in. Looks soo much better this way!

Does your living room have built in shelving? That is another great space to utilize baskets. Use this space to put magazines or books that you don’t want out, DVDs (if you still have any), unused remotes, etc!

Bathroom Shelves With Small Baskets
I loveeee this custom floating shelf with ropes above the toilet. It’s functional and creates a place to use small baskets to organize your bathroom items and toiletries.
Especially if you are trying to organize a small bathroom, a shelf above the toilet is very helpful. Using small baskets here for things like toilet paper, face wipes, toothpaste, etc will eliminate the need to keep them on the bathroom counter.

Under The Bathroom Vanity
If you don’t have a shelf above the toilet or another shelf in your bathroom, utilize the space under your vanity. I love how this double vanity below has cabinets under the sinks and open shelving in the middle.
Just by adding some wicker baskets for toilet paper and extra hand towels, it really makes this bathroom pop. (Of course along with the beautiful shiplap walls and rustic wood mirrors!)

Office Shelf Organization
Your home office is another space in your home that storage baskets are so helpful! This white bookcase shelf is pretty inexpensive but gets the job done at the same time.

Kids Playroom Organization
This beautiful kids playroom is using a few different kinds of baskets to keep all the toys in place.

Serena & Lily is one of my favorite coastal inspired furniture and decor websites to browse. The large rattan baskets in this baby’s room are functional and aesthetically pleasing (find these Solid La Jolla Basket HERE).
They are using these large round baskets to store blankets and toys. On the built in shelving in the closet, simple wicker baskets are used for organizing clothes, towels, diapers, you name it! So adorable and functional.
