Picking A Theme

While there are plenty of Free WordPress themes, I decided to find a Pro theme that was inexpensive. It has a little more customization and I found myself getting frustrated with the abundance of free themes and the restrictions on all of the features.

I chose the BARD PRO theme. I was originally using the free version because I liked the look and feel but the Pro version has sooo many more options. They are always having sales and deals and I got it for $20!

Pinterest – Start ASAP

Pinterest is the best (and free) way to drive traffic to your blog or website. It’s pretty much a visual search engine!

Affiliate Marketing

If you’re new to blogging and don’t want to sign up for many different affiliate merchants all at once, try VigLink! You can add links to any of their approved merchants and they will do the work for you!! Once the link is up on your site, VigLink analyzes it to see if it is linked to the affiliate. If it’s not, they will update it for you, giving you the commission. They do take a % but this is a great option for new bloggers that don’t want to spend the time signing up for 10 different affiliate sites!
